Translation is the communication of the meaning of a source-language text by means of an equivalent target-language text. A professional translation is subject to a well defined reglementary framework.
The cost of translating a text is based solely on the number of words and does not include reformatting the text. In certain cases we can keep the basic format (for exemple: MS Word file), however if the source text is on paper or in PDF file format, the target text will not be formatted.
In the case of translating Internet websites, specialised software (such as “WPML Multilingual CMS” ) offers the possibility to create a target text that conserves the same format, images and liens (menus and hyperlinks) as the original source page.
